Help Crowdfund These Awesome Science Projects Before Midnight | Popular Science
Back in April, we called on Popular Science readers to submit their best project ideas in the #CrowdGrant Challenge. By the time we closed the gates for entries, two dozen stood above the rest -- and 45 days of crowdfunding ensued.
Well, funding ends tonight -- Friday, Aug. 30 -- at 11:59pm EDT. That means only a few hours remain to make our hardworking finalists' dreams become realities.
We've already seen a couple of them come true, including Project Reach for the Stars, which will send K-12 classroom experiments to the edge of space, and Consider the Facts, an effort to engage people in deliberative thinking using a story about an Earth-threatening asteroid. But nearly two dozen other cool projects have yet to hit 100 percent funding.
Here are some of the projects that are resonating the most with readers:

Here are some of the projects that are resonating the most with readers:

- Maverick Engine-Generator - a newly designed combustion engine and linear generator
- Don't Sleep With Mean People - a scientifically informed peace movement
- Biobulb - a lightbulb powered by bacteria

- Gravity Development Board - do-it-yourself electronics hardware rated for the harsh environment of space

Crunchyroll - "Evangelion" Speed Dating Event Coordinated With 3.33 Home Video Release
Crunchyroll - "Evangelion" Speed Dating Event Coordinated With 3.33 Home Video Release
You (May) Find Happiness... until it's ruined by Second Impact [LOL]
If you're in Japan on April 24th, you'll be able hook up with a copy of Evangelion 3.33 on Blu-ray or DVD. But, if you're single and over 20, you may also be able to hook up with a date. Linkbal has planned Evangelion Connection events in Harajuku, Tokyo and Osaka around the release, then in Shibuya on May 4th.
Basically, as advertised, Eva Con is your chance to meet a fellow Eva enthusiast under optimal circumstances for synchronization. Maybe get a drink together at a participating restaurant . Maybe find love. Maybe be happy until Second Impact really screws everything up.
Unlike a lot event that charge women less, this one is 4,950 ($50) a ticket regardless of gender.

魔王勇者 Opening - Mukai Kaze by YOHKO HD - YouTube
It has been months since SAO ended, I still can't believe it did! Every monday comes somewhat missing something.. haha. 魔王勇者 looks like a possible successor to that, with a similar SAO medieval setting, nicely filling the gap SAO left. With a nice opening to boot! How will it play out?
