Spend your next vacation surrounded by over 2,000 volumes of manga for personal use.

For many anime fans, manga cafes have become a popular place to visit when on vacation to Japan. Considering the fact that they have endless walls of manga, food for purchase, and even places where you can sleep for cheap, the amenities they provide are quite appealing. One company seems to have taken this one step further however, as "anime advertising" company Slow Curve has announced the creation of their new series of "manga apartments."

Available only to foreign visitors to Japan, and aimed at fans of anime and manga, Slow Curve plans to open a total of 10 building floors of units made up of apartments where visitors might spend their nights during their stay in Japan. Each apartment, which will cost less than 5,000 yen a night (US $46.30), will be fully furnished, equipped with various household appliances, and best of all, filled with around 2,000 volumes to line the walls of every room.

Slow Curve currently has plans to open these apartments in Akihabara, Ikebukuro, and Nakano. Each location will cater to a slightly different audience, for instance, Akihabara flats will have the latest cutting edge manga news, Ikebukuro units will have mostly shoujo and josei manga, and Nakano apartments will be an homage to classic manga. While these apartments will forego typical hotel services for the sake of keeping costs low, guests will receive discounts at local restaurants, cosplay cafes, and stores.

Slow Curve plans to find locations for these apartments with the help of Tokyo-based real estate-related company Tomareru. Currently, they hope to have these apartments ready for guests within the next three years.
