Mascot of the moment! HAPPY!

So what makes a successful Anime nowadays? Realism. What then makes an anime realistic? It must let the audience feel "yeah I would do that if I were him/her too". Human-mannerism, Sarcasm.. Cute mascots that do nothing but "purrrr" is rubbish. HAPPPY is clever(yes he's intelligent!), cute and funny! 'Over-cute' dialouge too cheessy and/or unnecessary are a no-no. (yes u heard us! too much fanservice is killing us - in the wrong way!) Even the recent 11Eyes, the forums are echoing the pantyshots are spoiling the show, how unprofessional it has turn it into. Oh speaking of this, ah another show just came into my mind, Ikkitosen is another great example. Although both shows are not 'true' martial arts Anime, they can do without the fan-service.. Do the studios know how dumb it looks when in the middle of a fight, shirts/skirts/panties are torn-ed?
