COSFEST 9

Details | Facebook

Actually I am there not so much for the cosplay, because all the cosplay skits I've seen so far are pretty lame Either lack of resources, practice, directing, etc. Cosplayer-たちわ大人しいくcamera pose だけてばいい! That said, still I would like to commend on the performers efforts.

おれ欲しいのわ, karaoke competiton da! My fav! Everybody standing(one thing they weren't seats for us) in anticipation as a song finishes, hoping the next song is their favourite tunes. Criteria: 40% for clarity da! Of course we don't want the competitors to just 'hum' through our beloved songs. I don't feel this is in any way demanding, not being a perfectionist here, but this is a competition/performance, there has got to be a minimum standard. One of my favourite songs "MEZASE! Pokemon Master!" (even the MC pronounced it incorrectly :( ), got "hummed" along halfway through the song. I feel a bit embarrased even when I don't know that girl! (Not entirely bad, at least she got the first half ok, a bit off tune) She probably doesn't have time to finish learning the song. I hope that's the case. The bulk of the contestants know their lyrics, but generally need to work on making the overall experience better : ) It was rather lackluster, left the audience pretty dry. Singaporeans are a shy bunch. We are at fault too, we didn't even dare clap louder. A lot of environmental factors that the organisers can tweak, like playing their respective videos during the song, dim the lights put the spotlight on stage(we might clap louder now that we are not so visible ). In all, I still had a great time there. Organisers Banzai!

This year, no seats for the audience! The seats are only for the performers. だから, we cosplay next time da Miharu!
